Google is now on version 2.0 of the Pro-series earbuds – Pixel Buds Pro 2 . The first generation debuted in 2022, that came with active noise cancellation (ANC) for the first time. The Pixel Buds series has always been a worthy companion for its Pixel phones. With the second generations Pixel Buds Pro, they offer several improvements in terms of new design, updated acoustics and longer battery time, while the pricing might make them less appealing than their competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design and Comfort<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Google has refined the design of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, making them smaller and more comfortable to wear. \u00a0The engineers at Google clearly spent time ensuring these buds are super stable in your ears. Little rounded silicone tombstones that stick out of each bud do their job. With the IP54 rating you don’t have to worry about these buds around dust or liquids, which is nice. The new “twist-to-adjust stabilizer” is a clever feature, but it can be a bit tricky and may cause discomfort for some users. The case that comes with the buds is slightly larger in size. \u00a0It features USB-C and\u00a0wireless charging, in addition to a small speaker that can be used to locate the buds’ case if you lose it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seamless app experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 offer a seamless app experience, allowing you to customize their settings, adjust EQ, enable features like low-latency mode, and more. With Gemini’s integration, you can use voice commands to control your earbuds, adjust settings, or even ask questions about their features. For example, you could say “Hey Google, set the equalizer on my Pixel Buds Pro 2 to bass boost” or “Hey Google, what’s the battery life on my Pixel Buds Pro 2?” Gemini will provide real-time information and execute your commands effortlessly. This combination of app control and Gemini integration makes the Pixel Buds Pro 2 a truly hands-free and convenient audio accessory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sound Quality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 boast a huge upgrade with the sound quality though from its predecessors. The added processing power and powerful performance by the Tensor A1 chip and the new drivers do a great job of setting these buds above the crowd. The noise cancellation itself has been improved, but it’s not perfect based on the feedback. The transparency mode is still as effective as it was in the previous generation. Listening to your music is really great where you get the studio effect. The improved bass and treble with the new acoustic cavities add to it, making it an energetic and joyous listening experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One area where the Pixel Buds Pro 2 shine is their color options. Google offers a variety of bold and eye-catching colors, including Peony and Wintergreen, which are much more interesting than the standard black and white options available from other brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
